Abdul Qadir ABSTRACT; Tobacco plant contains various trace elements in its leaves and thus cigarette tobacco also accumulates these metals. The present study deals with the study of toxic metals in different brands of cigarette. Spectrometry was used to determine the level of metals Ni, Mn, Cu, Cr, Fe, Zn, Co and the heavy metal Cd in 10 different brands of cigarette locally available in Lahore markets i.e. Red and White, Gold Leaf, Gold Flake, Capstain, Pine, Embassy, Morven Gold, Wills International, Classic and Hero.
