Byline: Manzoor Iqbal Khattak ABSTRACT: The major inorganic anions (fluoride, chloride, nitrate, and sulfate) in the water samples of Quetta were determined by Ion chromatography with suppressed conductivity detection. In the experiment, the eluent was 2.0 mmol/L Na2CO3 and 1.3 mmol/L NaHCO3.The purpose of present work is to quantitatively assess and evaluate the anions F-,Cl-, NO3-, PO4-3, and SO4-2 in potable water with a view to find ways and means to bring the minimum inorganic anions concentration of the drinking water in use of inhabitant of Quetta to at least the minimum WHO guideline value.
